4 cups shredded hash browns (fresh or frozen, thawed and drained)

1/4 cup melted butter

Salt and pepper to taste

For the Filling:

6 large eggs

1 1/2 cups heavy cream or half-and-half

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 cup cooked ham or bacon, diced (optional)

1/2 cup chopped green onions

1/2 cup chopped bell peppers

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh chives or parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
Preheat the Oven:

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

Prepare the Crust:

In a large bowl, combine the shredded hash browns, melted butter, salt, and pepper.
Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until it starts to turn golden brown and crisp.

Prepare the Filling:

While the crust is baking, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.

Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, cooked ham or bacon (if using), chopped green onions, and chopped bell peppers.

Assemble the Quiche:

Reduce the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C) once the crust is ready.

Pour the egg mixture into the pre-baked hash brown crust.

Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the quiche is set and the top is golden brown.

Cool and Serve:

Allow the quiche to cool for about 10 minutes before slicing.

Garnish with freshly chopped chives or parsley.
