Ingredients:
2 packs of refrigerated crescent roll dough
1 pound of sausage (mild, spicy, or breakfast sausage, depending on your preference)
8 ounces of cream cheese
Instructions:
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Cook the Sausage:
In a skillet over medium heat, brown the sausage, breaking it up into crumbles as it cooks.
Once the sausage is fully cooked, drain any excess grease.
Lower the heat and stir in the cream cheese until it’s melted and well combined with the sausage. Remove from heat.
Prepare the Crescent Dough:
Unroll one pack of crescent roll dough and lay it flat on a greased baking sheet. Press the seams together to form a solid sheet of dough, leaving about a 1/2-inch border around the edges.
Assemble the Bites:
Evenly spread the sausage and cream cheese mixture over the crescent dough.
Unroll the second pack of crescent roll dough and place it on top of the sausage mixture. Again, press the seams together and gently press the edges to seal.
Bake:
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
Slice and Serve:
Remove from the oven and allow the crescent sausage bake to cool slightly.
Slice into small squares and serve warm.
