Ingredients:
1Β½ lbs ground beef
1 egg
Β½ cup breadcrumbs
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Salt, to taste
Black pepper, to taste
2 tbsp oil
1 large onion, sliced
2 tbsp flour
2 cups beef broth
Instructions:
In a bowl, mix the ground beef, egg, breadcrumbs, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
Shape the mixture into 4β6 patties.
Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Cook the patties until browned on both sides, then remove them from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, sautΓ© the sliced onion until golden and soft.
Stir in the flour and cook for about 1 minute.
Slowly whisk in the beef broth while stirring.
Let the gravy simmer until it thickens.
Return the patties to the skillet and coat them with the onion gravy.
Cover and cook for 10β15 minutes until the patties are fully cooked.
Serve hot with mashed potatoes or rice, topped with the rich onion gravy.
