Gala Pie

ingredients :

  • 1 pre-made pie crust
  • 500g minced pork
  • 200g minced beef
  • 100g bacon, diced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 100g breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon mixed herbs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: hard-boiled eggs

instructions :

  1. Preheat your oven to 180ยฐC (350ยฐF).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the minced pork, minced beef, diced bacon, chopped onion, beaten egg, breadcrumbs, mixed herbs, and a sprinkle of salt and pepper.
  3. If youโ€™re feeling fancy, nestle some hard-boiled eggs into the center of the meat mixture for a delightful surprise.
  4. Roll out your pie crust in a pie dish, then fill it with the hearty meat mixture. Top it off with another layer of crust.
  5. Crimp the edges to seal it all in, and give the top a few slits so those glorious steam clouds can escape.
  6. Pop it in the oven and bake for about 1 hour or until the crust turns a lovely golden brown.
  7. Once done, let it cool slightly before diving in and serving.
