2 tablespoons butter
1 small onion, thinly sliced

2 cups beef broth

3 large potatoes, peeled and cubed
1/2 cup milk
3 tablespoons butter

Instructions
To make the Salisbury steaks:
Mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, Worcestershire, garlic powder, onion powder, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper.
Form into 4 oval patties.
Brown the patties in a skillet over medium-high heat for 3–4 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
To make the gravy:
Melt butter in the same skillet.
Add sliced onions and sauté until soft and golden.
Stir in flour and cook 1 minute.
Slowly whisk in beef broth until smooth.
Add Worcestershire, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

To make the mashed potatoes:
