Honey Garlic Steak Strips with Four-Cheese Fettuccine Alfredo

Ingredients:

  • 12 oz fettuccine
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 lb sirloin steak, sliced into thin strips
  • 2 tbsp butter (for the steak)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp salt (for seasoning the steak)
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 tbsp butter (for the sauce)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 4 oz Velveeta cheese, cubed
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded provolone cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder

Directions:

  1. Start by boiling a large pot of salted water. Cook the fettuccine until it reaches a tender texture. Once done, drain the pasta and set it aside.
  2. In a large skillet heated over medium-high heat, combine olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter.
  3. Once the butter has melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for a short time until it becomes fragrant.
  4. Next, add the thinly sliced steak strips along with black pepper, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and Italian seasoning. Sear the steak until it develops a deep brown color with caramelized edges while remaining juicy inside.
  5. Drizzle honey over the steak in the pan and toss everything until the steak is well-coated with a glossy honey garlic glaze. Remove the steak from the skillet and set it aside, but leave the glaze in the pan.
  6. Lower the heat to medium and add an additional 2 tablespoons of butter to the skillet, allowing it to melt.
  7. Pour in the heavy cream and whole milk, stirring until it’s warmed through.
  8. Add the cubed Velveeta cheese and stir until it completely melts and becomes smooth.
  9. Then, incorporate the shredded mozzarella, provolone, and grated Parmesan. Continue stirring until the sauce thickens and becomes rich and cheesy.
  10. Season the sauce with garlic powder and onion powder to enhance the flavor.
  11. Toss the cooked fettuccine into the sauce, ensuring each strand is coated and enveloped in the cheesy goodness.
  12. Finally, return the honey garlic steak strips to the skillet and gently fold everything together so that the glaze and cheese mix together beautifully.
  13. Serve immediately and enjoy the dish while it is hot and deliciously stretchy.
