Baeโ€™s Tuna BLT Sammich Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 slices artisan bread
  • 2 (5 oz) cans tuna, drained well
  • 3 tablespoons mayo
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped celery
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon Chef Bae seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 slices bacon
  • 2 slices tomato
  • 1 leaf green lettuce
  • Butter for toasting bread
  • Handful of chips, optional

  1. Drain the tuna very well and gently press out any excess water so the mixture stays thick.
  2. In a bowl, combine the tuna, mayo, celery, parsley, Chef Bae seasoning, and black pepper, mixing until creamy but still slightly chunky.
  3. Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy, then remove and let it drain on paper towels.
  4. Lightly butter the bread and toast it in a pan until golden brown with crisp edges.
  5. Spread the tuna salad generously onto one slice of toasted bread.
  6. Layer the tomatoes, crispy bacon, and lettuce evenly over the tuna.
  7. Place the second slice of bread on top and gently press it down.
  8. Optional, however slice the sandwich in half and plate it with a handful of chips on the side.
