Ingredients
5 cups sliced peaches (fresh or canned)
1 cup sugar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
½ cup butter (melted)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
In a bowl, mix peaches, ½ cup sugar, lemon juice, and vanilla.
In another bowl, combine flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add milk and mix to make a smooth batter.
Pour melted butter into a baking dish, then pour the batter over it (do not stir).
Spoon the peach mixture evenly on top.
Bake for 40–45 minutes until golden brown.
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream if desired. 🍨
