Italian Stromboli

Ingredients

1 pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)

1/2 cup marinara sauce

1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup sliced pepperoni

1/2 cup sliced salami

1/2 cup ham, thinly sliced

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

1/2 teaspoon dried basil

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

Preheat Oven:

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare Dough:

Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface into a large rectangle, about 10×14 inches.

Add Fillings:

Spread the marinara sauce over the dough, leaving about a 1-inch border around the edges.

Evenly sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce.

Layer the pepperoni, salami, and ham on top of the cheese.

Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese, dried oregano, and dried basil over the meat.

Roll and Seal:

Starting from one of the long sides, tightly roll up the dough into a log shape.

Pinch the seams and ends to seal.

Egg Wash:

Transfer the stromboli to the prepared baking sheet, seam-side down.

Brush the beaten egg over the top and sides of the stromboli.

Bake:

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and cooked through.

Cool and Serve:

Let the stromboli cool for a few minutes before slicing.

Serve with extra marinara sauce for dipping, if desired.
