I made this cake without planning

Description:

This cake is a simple, yet delicious dessert that can be made in no time.

Its soft, moist texture and sweet flavor make it perfect for any occasion, whether it’s a family gathering, a birthday, or an afternoon treat with tea. This recipe uses basic pantry ingredients that you likely already have on hand.

Ingredients:

1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 cup sugar
½ cup butter, softened
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
½ cup milk

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
In a separate large bowl, cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined.
Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.

Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.

Correction (If Needed):

If you find that the cake turns out too dense or dry,
make sure you’re properly measuring your flour (don’t pack it into the measuring cup),
and check that your oven temperature is accurate.
You can also try adding a bit more milk for extra moisture.

This cake is ready to serve on its own or with a simple frosting or fruit topping!
