Who decided what’s considered “breakfast” anyway? 😏

smothered in maple syrup 🤤 Now, I’m sure most of you have had waffles before, but trust me it’s an absolute must to add the bacon! Sweet & savory at its finest. 🤤

And, of course, you know I don’t do small batches, so now we’ve got dozens of waffles stashed in the freezer for future breakfasts! These waffles are the perfect size to just toss in the toaster for a quick, hot breakfast for the kids. 🙌

Waffle Recipe:

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 cups milk
  • 3/4 cup oil
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 4 eggs
  • Your desired amount of cooked bacon bits

Directions:

  1. Mix the dry ingredients separate from the wet.
  2. Separate the egg yolks from the whites.
  3. Whisk the egg whites until stiff peaks form.
  4. Combine the wet ingredients (minus the egg whites) and then add the dry ingredients.
  5. Finally, gently fold in the egg whites for those light, fluffy waffles!
  6. (Optional) Fold in your desired amount of bacon bits.

Now we’re ready for breakfast (or dinner) on the fly. 😋
