Who decided what’s considered “breakfast” anyway? 😏
smothered in maple syrup 🤤 Now, I’m sure most of you have had waffles before, but trust me it’s an absolute must to add the bacon! Sweet & savory at its finest. 🤤
And, of course, you know I don’t do small batches, so now we’ve got dozens of waffles stashed in the freezer for future breakfasts! These waffles are the perfect size to just toss in the toaster for a quick, hot breakfast for the kids. 🙌
Waffle Recipe:
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 cups milk
- 3/4 cup oil
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 4 eggs
- Your desired amount of cooked bacon bits
Directions:
- Mix the dry ingredients separate from the wet.
- Separate the egg yolks from the whites.
- Whisk the egg whites until stiff peaks form.
- Combine the wet ingredients (minus the egg whites) and then add the dry ingredients.
- Finally, gently fold in the egg whites for those light, fluffy waffles!
- (Optional) Fold in your desired amount of bacon bits.
Now we’re ready for breakfast (or dinner) on the fly. 😋
