π What is it?
A homemade version of the classic Ding Dongsβmoist chocolate cake layers filled with fluffy cream and covered in smooth chocolate ganache. Rich, soft, and nostalgic.
π§ Ingredients (simple list)
Chocolate cake:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 ΒΎ cups sugar
ΒΎ cup cocoa powder
1 Β½ tsp baking powder
1 Β½ tsp baking soda
Β½ tsp salt
2 eggs
1 cup milk
Β½ cup oil
1 cup hot coffee (boosts chocolate flavor)
Cream filling:
1 cup butter (softened)
2 cups powdered sugar
1 jar marshmallow fluff
1 tsp vanilla
Chocolate ganache:
200g chocolate
1 cup heavy cream

- Bake cake
Mix dry ingredients
Add eggs, milk, oil β mix
Stir in hot coffee
Pour into two pans
Bake at 180Β°C (350Β°F) for 25β30 min
Cool completely - Make filling
Beat butter + powdered sugar
Add marshmallow fluff + vanilla β fluffy - Assemble
Place one cake layer
Spread thick cream filling
Add second layer - Ganache
Heat cream β pour over chocolate β mix smooth
Pour ganache over cake
Chill slightly before slicing
