Ingredients
- 20 Medjool dates, pitted
- 5 oz Brie cheese, cut into small pieces (140 g)
- 1/3 cup shelled pistachios, finely chopped (40 g)
- 3 tbsp honey (45 ml)
- 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves
- 1/2 tsp orange zest
- Pinch of flaky sea salt
- Freshly ground black pepper, optional
Directions
- Preheat the oven: Heat to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare the dates: Slice each date lengthwise, keeping the bottom intact, and remove the pits if necessary.
- Stuff with Brie: Fill each date with a small piece of Brie, gently pressing the dates closed around the cheese.
- Bake until warm: Arrange the dates on the baking sheet and bake for 8–10 minutes, until the Brie is soft and melty.
- Add the pistachios: Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle with crushed pistachios, orange zest, and fresh thyme.
- Drizzle with honey: Finish with warm honey, a pinch of flaky sea salt, and black pepper if desired.
- Serve warm: Arrange on a platter and serve immediately while the Brie is creamy and the dates are soft and caramelized.
