Chicken Wings Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg chicken wings
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • ½ tsp chili flakes (optional)

For the Sauce:

  • ½ cup BBQ sauce or hot sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tsp soy sauce

For Garnish:

  • Chopped parsley
  • Celery sticks (optional)
  • Ranch or blue cheese dip (optional)

Method:

Step 1: Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 200°C.
  • Wash and pat the chicken wings completely dry.
  • Line a baking tray with parchment paper or place a wire rack over the tray.

Step 2: Season the Wings

  • In a large bowl, combine the oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, oregano, and chili flakes.
  • Add the chicken wings and toss until evenly coated.

Step 3: Bake

  • Arrange the wings in a single layer on the prepared tray.
  • Bake for 25 minutes.
  • Turn the wings over and bake for another 20–25 minutes until golden and crispy.

Step 4: Prepare the Sauce

  • In a saucepan, combine the BBQ sauce (or hot sauce), honey, melted butter, and soy sauce.
  • Heat over low heat for 2–3 minutes, stirring until smooth.

Step 5: Coat the Wings

  • Transfer the cooked wings to a large bowl.
  • Pour the warm sauce over the wings.
  • Toss gently until every wing is evenly coated.

Step 6: Chicken Wings Ready

  • Arrange on a serving platter.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley.
  • Serve hot with celery sticks and ranch or blue cheese dip if desired.
