Honey Cake with Raisins

Ingredients
• 2 cups flour
• ½ cup honey
• ½ cup sugar
• ½ cup butter (soft)
• 3 eggs
• ½ cup milk
• 1 tsp baking powder
• ½ tsp baking soda
• 1 tsp cinnamon (optional)
• 1 cup raisins
• 1 tsp vanilla
• Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Prep:
    Preheat oven to 180°C and grease your pan.
  2. Cream:
    Mix butter + sugar until light. Add eggs one at a time, then honey and vanilla.
  3. Combine:
    In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  4. Mix batter:
    Add dry ingredients to wet mixture, alternating with milk.
  5. Add raisins:
    Fold in raisins (lightly coat them with flour so they don’t sink).
  6. Bake:
    Pour into pan and bake for 35–45 minutes.
