Pepper Jelly Cream Cheese Pretzel Bites

Ingredients
Pretzel Bites

1 tube pizza dough or pretzel dough

4 cups water

2 tbsp baking soda

1 egg, beaten

Coarse sea salt

Cream Cheese Filling

200g cream cheese, softened

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tbsp honey

Black pepper to taste

Pepper Jelly Topping

1/2 cup pepper jelly

1 tsp chili flakes (optional)

1 tsp apple cider vinegar

Garnish

Fresh chives, chopped

Extra sea salt

Directions

Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F).

Cut dough into small bite-sized pieces.

In a saucepan, bring water and baking soda to a gentle boil.

Boil dough bites for 20–30 seconds, then remove and place on a baking tray.

Brush bites with beaten egg and sprinkle lightly with coarse sea salt.

Bake for 12–15 minutes until deep golden brown.

In a bowl, mix cream cheese, garlic powder, honey, and black pepper until smooth.

Warm pepper jelly slightly and stir in chili flakes and apple cider vinegar if desired.

Slice pretzel bites slightly open or serve alongside the dip.

Fill or spread cream cheese onto warm pretzel bites and spoon over pepper jelly.

Garnish with fresh chives and serve warm.
