- 2 large ripe tomatoes, sliced
- 4 tablespoons mayonnaise

- Black pepper, to taste
- 4 lettuce leaves (optional)
Instructions:
- Spread mayonnaise evenly on one side of each slice of bread.
- Arrange the tomato slices on four slices of bread.
- Sprinkle the tomatoes generously with salt and black pepper.
- Add lettuce leaves if desired.
- Top with the remaining bread slices.
