🍗 Crispy Chicken Strips

Golden, crunchy on the outside, and juicy on the inside—these homemade chicken strips are perfect for lunch, dinner, or as a party snack.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450 g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 2 cups breadcrumbs (or panko for extra crispiness)
  • Vegetable oil, for frying

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Chicken

Cut the chicken breasts into even strips and pat them dry with paper towels.

2. Season the Flour

In a shallow bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.

3. Prepare the Egg Wash

In a second bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk until smooth.

4. Add the Breadcrumbs

Place the breadcrumbs in a third shallow bowl.

5. Coat the Chicken

  • Dredge each chicken strip in the seasoned flour.
  • Dip it into the egg mixture.
  • Coat well with the breadcrumbs, pressing gently so they stick.

6. Fry

  • Heat 2–3 inches of vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
  • Fry the chicken strips in batches for 4–6 minutes, turning once, until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  • Remove and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.

7. Serve

Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces such as:

  • Honey Mustard
  • Ranch
  • BBQ Sauce
